Crofton Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a programme of activities, designed to encourage the development of young people aged between 14-25, regardless of gender, background or ability. It offers an individual challenge and participants choose and undertake a range of enjoyable activities in their free time.

There are three levels of award - Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each level consists of four elements - physical recreation, the development of skills, service in the community and expeditions. The Gold level also has a residential element.
