Wakefield Hospice, opened in 1990, provides holistic care for terminally ill patients with palliative care needs and their families.  

The Hospice received the Queen's Award for Voluntary service. This award particularly recognises the efforts and commitment of volunteers, whatever their role.

The group raised £3,500 in 2006 for the Hospice

raised £200 and received £270 in donations
