Rev'd. Anne Jordan
I was born in Yorkshire and have lived in Yorkshire all my life.
Married to Bernard for 38 years we have no children.
I came to live in Crofton when I was married.
Until retirement in 1996 I was a Nursing Sister in the Wakefield Hospitals.
I have found that there can be "life after retirement". Since retirement I have come to ordination. I am an Ordained Local Minister: A new clerical role within the parish system. I work in my own parish within a core group of lay people who are committed to collaborative ministry, to serve the community in which we live.
We are part of the Wakefield Ministry Scheme.
I am deeply committed to the hospice movement and as such, work as a volunteer chaplain at the Wakefield Hospice.
For relaxation, I enjoy reading and music.
As an accredited flower arranger, floral art takes up much of my leisure time both in competition and as an aid to meditation within spirituality.
